Thorns & Shovels

Well, today Spring and I went out to work in the rose garden. We pruned the bush, threw out the ones that we cut off, and then we started raking out the bark. Judy and Dave both came over to help when they could, and so we were all digging, sweeping, and raking out that darn stubborn bark. Spring got a blister, and some hot spots. I just got hot spots, oh and I ran into a thorn on a rose bush while shoveling... my finger got it pretty good. Well 2 of my fingers did.

There were a ton of worms in the bark when we were scooping it onto the road. I felt bad for them and so I picked them up and threw them into the grass so they could live. I left all the milipedes and other little creatures because I didn't dare touch them. Sad, I know. Right now I am in for lunch and to see Jesse before he goes to school. So I decided I would quickly drop by here and update it a little. Oh we are doing this garden so it will look good for the open house we are doing for the wedding. We also plan on doing a garden the week that I am going to get married in the front. We'll put Gerber daisies in the dirt on the side of the walk to the door... and cyclamen in the front little dirt patch. It is going to look so cute.

I am getting my endowments out on May 23rd... but only my mom, my nana, and Jesse are coming. Later that week I will go with everyone else who wants to come.. that is the week before my wedding... Wow... it is coming so fast, yet extremely slow.. I wish it wouldn't take forever... I can't wait to get married. I am extremely nervous, but I have a wonderful group of people that are there to take care of me... and I am going to have an amazing husband, and maybe a kitten. We'll see. Well I am going to go eat! Farewell.
