So this weekend was a very eventful weekend. My friend, Ari, and my sister, Laura, both came up on Friday. Then on Saturday, we went to Town to get my hair cut. I pretty much chopped off my hair. It's above my shoulders and below my chin, so it's sitting in the middle somewhere. Then after we got my hair cut, we went on a few errands. While we were sitting down to eat lunch, my husband, Jesse called and said, "I hope you're not mad at me." Well of course I got a little bit worried and asked him, "why?" Well he told me that he got a dog.... "What?" ... and it was for free. Her name is Sassy, and she's a beautiful white Husky. So now I have a new haircut, and a new dog. Pretty crazy changes around here... haha.
A halloween party was also on Saturday night, held by Layne & Robin Flint. It was pretty fun... although I think Ari and Laura had the biggest blast there. They danced the night away. To tell you the truth, Jesse and I had a difficult time dancing in front of everybody (i think we get embarrassed easily). But Jesse and I dressed up as a Scottish couple, and Laura was Belle (From Beauty and the Beast) and Ari was a pirate. It was fun to dress up and see everyone else's costumes.
Now on Sunday... We woke up late.. 10-15 minutes before church started.. (now remember it takes 10 minutes to get to the church from our house) and Jesse was supposed to give the opening prayer in Sacrament meeting. So he shot out of bed, and got ready... I was trying to hurry and put my clothes on when he said that he was just going to go, and I could come in the other car, but he had to hurry... but then he couldn't find his keys... so I let him take mine and I just told him to come pick me up after he says the prayer... Well he missed it, but he came and got me and we made it for the last 15 mins of the meeting... oops.
Then Sunday was the first day that I got to be the Pianist in Primary. It was so fun. The highlight of my day was when the most adorable little girl came up to me, tugged my sleeve, and said, "You're beautiful." She then grabbed my arm and escorted me into the primary room. When she sat down, I whispered to her, "You're beautiful too." And she smiled so big, and said, "Thank you!" Then I saw her in the hall later, and I smiled at her and she said, "You play the piano really good, and I like your necklace." She is the sweetest little girl. I think I also get to see her in the Faith in God (Achievement days) activities I get to help with now as well.
Well, I had better go, because I need to go grocery shopping and get ready for the day. Have a wonderful new week!
